About Us

Friends of Guthrie Animals, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Von Coburn founded FOGAS because of her love and compassion for animals. Friends of Guthrie Animals was incorporated on September 11, 2008. The organization is made up entirely of unpaid volunteers and operates solely on charitable donations. FOGAS could not do what it does without the generous support of a caring community. Our Spay and Neuter Program gives many low-income families the opportunity to save lives. FOGAS also helps in supporting local animal shelters by paying for medical treatment and medical supplies for the unfortunate animals that find their way to the shelter.

As you know, unwanted animals go without proper food, shelter and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors. FOGAS is working to make a brighter future for animals through educational programs on care, compassion and responsibility of pet ownership and the Spay and Neuter Program, in helping to reduce the pet overpopulation. Through community support...we are making a difference and saving lives.
